Sarasota Snapshots

My posts were a little light last week because I was off doing some work travel.  Sometimes my work trips are so busy (and they take place mostly inside a hotel ballroom) that I forget to document them.  This time around though we had some time for property tours and a few dinners and events out and about in Sarasota so I managed to document some of the trip to share with you.  It was a really eventful trip and I was exhausted when I got home-- a sign of a good trip, I suppose!

A welcome cheese plate. It was midnight when we got in and I ate most of it...

A boat called "Snookie"

We went on a totally amazing private island property tour on our first day there

An adorable Golden that I almost packed up in my suitcase to take home

Can you imagine this being the view from your living room? Sigh...

I could definitely live here.

The island has its own "village" of cute beachy cottages.  Too cool.

Beautiful banyan trees

Obsessed with these original ceilings.

Aaaand finally, it was meeting time.

Enormous [real] gingerbread house at Ritz-Carlton Sarasota

Lovely Sarasota sunset. Not used to seeing this in December!

Stopped at the Hotel Vinoy in St. Pete's for lunch on our way home

Fabulous Christmas decor in the Vinoy lobby
